Race 1 will be held Saturday, August 22nd at Snowbasin. High School will race in the morning and JD will race in the afternoon.

The state championship races require qualification based on divisions and race results held throughout the season. More information will be communicated as the season progresses.

WHAT TO EXPECT ON RACE DAY


The Night Before
Review the course map and parking info (posted on each race page before each race). Pack snacks, sunscreen, and layers—races can be hot in August and chilly in October.

Morning of the Race
Arrive with your athlete at least 60–90 minutes before their start time. Start times vary by category—posted in the Race Spreadsheet before the race.

In the Pit Zone
Find the Herriman tents in the Pit Zone- it’s our home base for the day. Team volunteers will have food, support, and a place for athletes to warm up, cool down, and recover.

On the Course
Most races allow spectators at designated viewing areas. Cheer loud—athletes can hear you even when they look like they can’t.

After the Race
Stick around for finish line festivities, cheering on the whole team, and fina results/podiums!

WHAT PARENTS DO ON RACE DAY
Race day runs on parent energy:

  • Pit Zone food prep and distribution
  • Athlete check-in
  • League volunteering shifts
  • Feed zone help
  • Pit Zone setup and teardown

    All parents complete at least one league volunteer shift per rider per season. See Volunteering for details.
